Note: If you received an email from an address at theswig.com that you did not expect (spam) please be aware that it did NOT originate from this site! A lot of spammers are faking the FROM: address and making up random addresses at various domains. Email sent from this site will only be sent from an account named "answers". If you get an email that doesn't come from this account name, it definitely did not come from this site! We only send email in response to your initial contact, and NEVER send out emails at random.
The Sea World Information Guide is an independent theme park information resource authored by an individual. This site is not condoned, sponsored, or maintained by or in any way a part of or associated with Sea World Parks & Entertainment, AMBEV, whoever controls the SeaWorld brand these days, any other related corporate entity, or any employees thereof, and is not an official source of information for Sea World parks. To visit the official Sea World site, please click here.
Way back when (1999-ish) I had big plans for this site as Sea World's web page at the time was pretty bad and it was hard to find any information on any of the parks. Since around 2003-ish someone there realized the value of the Internet and now Sea World has a pretty darned nice site, though mind you it is all about getting you to come visit them. :-) Now, I keep the site alive mainly to provide a target for all of the queries about Sea World of Ohio (it's CLOSED, GONE, ERASED FROM EXISTENCE, it is an Ex-Sea World!).
The SWIG exists as a public service and is authored by an individual with no ties to the corporate structure of Sea World or any of its related interests. It is not sponsored by any corporate entity. I pay all the site expenses out of my own pocket, and neither solicit nor accept advertising or donations. This means that the opinions expressed here are mine alone and are not colored by any financial contributors. From time to time, I have guests and readers who give their permisson to incorporate their commentary into the site. The opinions expressed by these readers are theirs and may or may not coincide with my or your personal beliefs. If you send me a nasty email telling me how I am killing the dolphins and causing the killer whales to lose their hair, I will respond in kind.
I note the date at the top of every page within the site as it was updated. Sea World has the right to change their prices and policies at any time with or without notice, and I stopped trying to keep up with them a long time ago. Please keep this in mind, and use the information on this site only as a general guideline for planning your trip. For the most part in early 2010 I tried to remove any information that would be inaccurate due to time having passed from the last site update (which happens rather infrequently).
The Sea World Information Guide is not a news or rumors site, though I'm sure there are some that would hope to find one or both here. Also, based on some of the emails I get it seems I cannot say it enough, the Sea World Information Guide is NOT condoned, sponsored, or maintained by or in any way a part of or associated with the Sea World Parks & Amusement, any other related corporate entity, or any employees thereof, blah blah blah, and is not an official source of information for Sea World parks. Any email you send to The SWIG will NEVER EVER be seen or read by a Sea World employee! This site is also not a nice place to visit if you want to send angry emails to Sea World. In fact, if you send such an email to this site you should expect a very rude response in return. I will thump you really hard for being a clueless twit, and you will deserve it.
It's also not a good place to visit to ask me how you can get a job talking to the dolphins. I promise that the dolphins have no interest in you unless you are bringing them fish, and once they are fed they would much rather you go away. They will not be your friends and they will not love you just because you bring them fish.
